Franchise agreement brings high reliability cooling solutions to broadcasting and communications markets
DT Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with Papst to distribute its range of equipment cooling fans and solutions in the UK. Given DT Electronics' knowledge and strength in the communications market - particularly broadcasting - the move will increase the penetration of Papst's high reliability products into those areas.
In terms of cooling solutions, the requirements of the communications marketplace are for high reliability and low noise levels. Papst fans are well known for their high reliability, performance, innovation and low noise.
Says Papst's managing director Gareth Jones, "The agreement between Papst and DT Electronics presents us with a great opportunity to increase sales through our distribution network due to DT's specialised technical knowledge of their focus markets. The strong emphasis from DT Electronics on design solutions to their customers is particularly appealing as this has long been a core offering from PAPST and will compliment our route to market extremely well."
"We are very pleased to be able to enter into this agreement with DT Electronics and we view our partnership as an opportunity to bring our products and solutions to even more customers who may not have used our products before."
DT Electronics' marketing director Gerry Hewitt said, "The relationship with Papst opens new doors and opportunities for both companies. DT Electronics is well known for its strong profile in the communications market. Now, with the ability to provide cooling solutions, our product portfolio has grown enabling us to supply more components to a broader range of customers."
"Particularly as we provide power supplies and power components, cooling solutions are a logical step in the power 'supply' chain. Papst is able to provide true 'solutions' including customised cooling trays that enable customers to reduce engineering time and expense by purchasing a drop in, fully engineered solution. The move towards digital audio in studios and the development of the 3G infrastructure are just two areas where we see opportunities for cooling solutions."
